Happy New Year to everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and holiday season and that 2019 is a happy, healthy and prosperous one for you.
2018 – Looking back
2018 was a great year for me with a veritable smorgasbord of events photographed at home and abroad. My commercial photography tie-up with Twister Aerobatics took me back to the UAE and China.
I shot 18 beautiful weddings, three awards ceremonies, three awesome Christmas parties, two brand new small people, the OVO Women’s Tour cycle race for East Northamptonshire Council, a dance competition, a family fun day and a charity golf day, amongst other things.
I also worked very closely with the great people of KTV Venue Stylists / KTV Wedding Planners on a number of styled bridal shoots and look forward to doing more of the same this year.
2019 – Looking forward
Behind the scenes, there’s also been quite a bit going on. My dad, bless him, has been working tirelessly to bring my house into the 21st century. What it will mean is that, for the first time, I’ll have a permanent photography studio set up at home. It will make newborn baby shoots so much easier, as well as providing an alternative to location shoots for family photography sessions. I’m not going to set a target date for the launch, but rest assured, you will know about it when it happens!
There’s already lots of weddings in the diary (with space for a few more) and provisional plans for a few more overseas jaunts. Before any of that happens, however, I’m excited to be involved with the ’80s Night being hosted by KTV Events & Entertainment at The Big Barn, Ashley, on 2nd February. Party Central will be playing live and The UKDJ will ensure the dance floor is packed when they’re not on. It’s the first of what is hoped to be many themed-events staged by KTV at the venue on the Northamptonshire-Leicestershire border.
Wedding Photography Pricing to Increase from 1st February
So far as New Year promotions go, there’s not going to be one this year, other than giving you a heads up that my wedding photography pricing will be increasing at the start of February. If you are currently in the market for a wedding photographer and like the sound of me and my style, now would be a good time to get in touch! I do still have some availability for 2019 and am booking 2020 and beyond.
