Driving around Northamptonshire during the long-winter evenings I’ve noticed lots and lots of illuminated churches, and it’s been my intention for quite a while to have a go at photographing some of them at night. Finally, last month, I did just that.
After being back from Bahrain for just over a fortnight, I’ve finally caught up with all of the processing the trip generated, so it’s now time to think about that photography flash sale I promised you in my New Year’s Day blog.
As 2015 exits stage left, I look back on my final photographic exploits of the year and look forward to some of the things that might pass in front of my camera in 2016.
Having finally caught up with the processing from last weekend’s activities, I thought now would be a good time to share a tiny selection of the images captured during last week’s Family Photo-shoot Day at Sywell Country Park.
What started off as a day off with a family afternoon outing to the greyhound racing at Towcester Racecourse ultimately ended up being more of a working one, as I was asked to step in for the official photographer who had been re-roled, finding himself in the commentary box with a microphone thrust into his hand!

Back in August I was commissioned by Top Gear Magazine for an assignment for their November issue. The shoot was to take place at Bidford-on-Avon Gliding & Flying Club and would feature Rich Goodwin Airshows, Top Gear Magazine reporter Oliver Marriage and an ORIS watch.
Following interest being expressed in another family photo-shoot day at Sywell Country Park, Monday, 26th October (October half-term) has been ear-marked for the next one. Should the weather be really bad that day, Tuesday, 27th October will serve as a back-up.
