Driving around Northamptonshire during the long-winter evenings I’ve noticed lots and lots of illuminated churches, and it’s been my intention for quite a while to have a go at photographing some of them at night. Finally, last month, I did just that.

Having finally caught up with the processing from last weekend’s activities, I thought now would be a good time to share a tiny selection of the images captured during last week’s Family Photo-shoot Day at Sywell Country Park.
What started off as a day off with a family afternoon outing to the greyhound racing at Towcester Racecourse ultimately ended up being more of a working one, as I was asked to step in for the official photographer who had been re-roled, finding himself in the commentary box with a microphone thrust into his hand!
