Arena hires provide great opportunities to capture incredible action shots of you and your equine partner away from the stress of a competition environment. I recently photographed an indoor arena hire at Moulton College Equestrian Centre, and here are just a few of the results.

Moulton Equestrian Centre: A Haven for Horse Enthusiasts

Nestled on the outskirts of Northampton, on the way out of the village of Moulton, the Moulton Equestrian Centre caters to both aspiring equestrians and seasoned riders. It offers a comprehensive equestrian experience, encompassing:

• Top-notch facilities: The centre boasts a 60m x 40m indoor arena, a floodlit outdoor arena, stabling for 36 horses, and a cross-country course.
• Competition venue: It hosts unaffiliated, British Dressage, and British Show Jumping competitions, providing a professional environment for both spectators and participants.
• Equine therapy: The unique Moulton Equine Therapy Centre features a water treadmill, swimming pool, and cold-water salt spa, aiding equine rehabilitation and fitness.
• Educational opportunities: The centre serves as a learning ground for Moulton College students, offering insights into the equestrian world.

When not in use by the college’s students, for competitions or clinics, it is possible to hire out the indoor arena.

Imogen and Gordy, Grace and Nancy, Sammy Grace and Rocky and Amiee and Billy did just that, and I was there to photograph the session.

Moulton College Equestrian Centre had hosted an unaffiliated show jumping competition the day before, and, as the course was still set out, full use was made of that.

Talented and highly-experienced equestrian Chloe Alibone orchestrated proceedings and ensured that was a solid structure to things while offering encouragement and advice to those riding.

As you can see, the session generated a lot of truly fantastic photo opportunities, and this is just the tip of the iceberg of them.
