THANK YOU FOR STOPPING BY!

If you’re reading this, as it says above, thank you for stopping by!

While I’ve been taking pictures for almost a decade, it’s only now that I’m about to embark upon a journey to try to make it as a professional photographer. It’s both daunting and exciting, but definitely more so the latter!

Before that, I head to China this time next week for almost a month, crewing for the Twister Duo, who I supported back in January when they performed at the Bahrain International Airshow. This time they will be displaying at the GA Shenyang 2014 trade show and then at another event in Zhengzhou. It promises to be a fascinating (if lengthy!) trip to a new part of the world for me.

The last couple of weeks have been spent sorting out the more mundane things that need putting in place before I can launch my business – the insurances, business cards, flyers etc, not to mention tweaking this website. I think we’re pretty much there now, though, and I hope to hit the ground running on my return from China.

For those of you not already familiar with me, my photographic grounding is in the world of aviation, and I know enough about the vagaries of that sphere to know that very few people can survive from its proceeds alone, so the extent of my success (the other possibility is not an option!) will rely upon my ability to open new doors. Word of mouth is hugely important in the photography world, and I will always strive to do the very best for my clients, repaying the faith they’ve placed in me, whatever the task.

The fantastic thing about photography is that no matter how long you’ve been doing it, you’re always learning, whether that be new techniques with the camera equipment itself or in how you process the pictures afterwards. I’m under no illusions and fully appreciate that there’ll be plenty of learning to come!

If you’ve had a look through my portfolios, liked the styles you’ve seen employed and would like to talk to me about providing similar for you – regardless of the project – please do drop me a line (I’d normally say ‘Give me a call!’, but I suspect I might not be that easy to get hold of for the next few weeks. You’ll find the details on the Contact Us page.

Again, thank you for taking the time to look in, and thanks for your support. It means a lot.
