Reel Bookings – Please Read
I am space limited on the booking form, so please read this more complete version before you commit to booking, AND follow the instructions.
Video MUST be booked and paid for in advance. There will be a separate booking page for each day’s coverage. The booking link for Friday is being released now, the booking link for Saturday will be released at 8pm tomorrow (Wednesday) and the booking link for Sunday will be released at 8pm on Thursday. Bookings will close at 9pm on the evening before the next day’s classes – eg bookings for Friday’s competition will close at 9pm on Thursday night.

I genuinely have no idea how much demand there is likely to be (this is comfortably the biggest show I have videoed to date), but I reserve the right to a) change the delivery timeframe aims (of additional bookings) if I feel numbers are becoming unmanageable or b) close bookings completely. The last thing I want is people waiting a week for their videos. * IT IS THEREFORE RECOMMENDED THAT YOU BOOK EARLY TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT *
This is still a new product and there may be some teething difficulties and delays with delivery of trimmed videos if I become overwhelmed with orders (video editing is A LOT more time intensive than photos). The introductory price reflects that this is still a work in progress, and your patience and understanding is appreciated.
Your round (as much as is humanly possible for one person) will be videoed in super slow motion, and the aim at the outset will be for you to have received a trimmed down ‘Extended Play’ video to your email address via either Google Drive or WeTransfer within 72 hours of capture. Please be patient if that timeframe is exceeded. You will ultimately receive your video.
You have the option of booking an ‘Extended Play’ video (essentially everything captured from your round less any really dull bits and out of focus sections) or an ‘Extended Play + Reel’. You can also specify whether you want it to be portrait oriented (taller than wide) or landscape oriented (wider than tall).
** SUPER IMPORTANT BIT **
On the Order Summary / Billing & Shipping Info page is an ‘Add a note to the seller’ link. Please click on that and provide the following details for the round(s) you are booking video for at that time: Class, Rider Name, Horse Name. ** WITHOUT THIS INFORMATION, I MAY MISS YOUR ROUND ** (continues below)
I will be wearing a red Equine Photography by Karl Drage high-vis vest to make myself easily identifiable. Please make yourself known to me before you enter the arena (unless you can see I’m already in it, in which case, make yourself known to me when you enter).
If your round ends abruptly (and you don’t want the captured footage), I will allow you to switch the booking to another round.
Please understand this is going to be a big learning experience for me. I am being open and transparent up front to manage expectations. If you ‘absolutely must have’ edited video the same day, I’m afraid I can’t guarantee that at this stage. I am confident that those of you who can wait will get something you’re happy with.
If you have any questions, try to ask them sooner rather than later. The show days have the potential to be extremely busy indeed.
