Back at the start of the year, I had hoped to be able to share my wedding photography results with you on a regular basis, but 2016 does rather seem to have kept throwing unexpected circumstances at me, and that has simply made this impossible. I’m sure none of the happy couples I’ve photographed this year will be averse to me sharing some of the highlights of their special days over the coming weeks. I’ll begin today with Linda & Richard’s wedding at Wellingborough Registry Office, Northants, back in March.

Wedding Ceremony – Wellingborough Registry Office

Linda & Richard had been together for more than 18 years before they finally tied the knot. Their friends and families had, perhaps understandably, given up any hope of it happening. Despite their doubts, Linda & Richard proved them wrong on Saturday, 19th March 2016.

The day itself was mainly grey and overcast, but that certainly failed to dampen the spirits of the happy couple. When I first met Linda & Richard, I was told that Linda wasn’t particularly big on having her picture taken. I’m not sure that comes across in my wedding photos from the day!

Wedding Breakfast & Reception – Wellingborough Old Grammarians Memorial Sports Field

After the ceremony and group pictures, the bridal party moved on to Wellingborough Old Grammarians Memorial Sports Field for the reception.

The reception room had been transformed, and an excellent wedding breakfast was provided for the guests. Speeches came courtesy of the groom, best man and bride, no less!

The evening fun and games got underway with Linda & Richard’s first dance.

I am, however, only too happy to travel beyond those locations to capture the magic of your wedding day.
