It’s been a few years since my diary has allowed me to run one of these, but family photography days are back for October Half-Term 2019! There’s a couple of new Northamptonshire locations on offer, too!
Come October half-term, Christmas will only be two months away. What better present to give to your families than beautiful photographs?
October Half-Term Family Photography DaTEs
Monday, 28th October – Sywell Country Park (weather reserve day Tuesday, 29th October)
Wednesday, 30th October – East Carlton Country Park (weather reserve day Thursday, 31st October)
Friday, 1st November – Barnwell Country Park (weather reserve day Saturday, 2nd November)

How it works
As in previous years, I’ve divided the daylight period into six hour-long sessions, which you can reserve for a non-refundable £25 fee.
Sunset Slot
This year, for the first time, I have added an extra slot which will also take in sunset and the period immediately after it. Please note that in order to ensure the images include the sunset, we will almost certainly be less free to move around. This session will also include the use of portable studio flash lighting. It will be quite different to the other six daytime sessions.
Booking
Once the fee has been paid, you have my assurance that no further bookings for that slot will be taken, so the £25 is a guarantee against any potential loss of earnings on my part should you need to cancel for any reason. The only exception to this is if the weather back-up needs to be used and you are unable to make the reserve date. You will, however, need to notify me of this at the time of booking. A decision will be made regarding the suitability of the weather on the evening prior to each shoot day. You will receive a text message to your phone informing you as to whether we’re going ahead or not.

After you have booked your session, I’ll look forward to meeting you on the day in the car park at the start of your slot time. Please be aware that YOU are responsible for purchasing a parking ticket – it is NOT included in the photo-shoot price! We’ll have a quick chat about anything you’re desperate to incorporate into your shoot (bear in mind that there are lots of great things to do at each of the venues). We’ll try to make sure we do everything you want, and hopefully there might even be some time left over to try some other things, too.
Because it is being treated as a “family” shoot, I’m happy for each party to comprise of a maximum of six people – be they large or small in size! That doesn’t mean that you all have to feature in every image, but please be aware that the more of you there are, the longer the process is likely to take. I am going to have to be strict with the time your session ends. I will try to get some individual shots of each of you, too, should you so wish.

Password-Protected Gallery
Please be aware that you may have to wait a few days before your password-protected proofing gallery is ready. The images will need to be edited to look their best, and this is a time-consuming process. I understand that you will be itching to see them, but your patience will be greatly appreciated.
Once I’m done, you’ll be able to take a look at the images I’ve edited for you in your own time and decide which package you would like to buy.
Family Photography Day Packages
The deal is really simple: You choose how many of the images you simply cannot live without and pay accordingly. I then get your prints ordered and delivered to you and the high-resolution files delivered to you electronically. The digital files are supplied with a licence allowing you to print them yourself and share them with family and friends!
Since these are dedicated family photography days where I don’t have to change location, I am able to offer slightly lower prices than normal.

Note: the £25 booking fee will be treated as credit against the prices below, so if you were to buy the package containing 20 images, you would pay £175 more.

The session times:
0900-1000
1015-1115
1130-1230
1315-1415
1430-1530
1600-1700 (Note: this session will, weather permitting, produce sunset images, which might require us to be in a very specific location – only book this session if you are happy with that).
Using flash after sunset enriches the colours in the sky and can produce some stunning effects
