Finding the perfect wedding photographer can feel overwhelming. There’s a sea of talented professionals, each with distinct styles (light and airy, dark and moody, documentary, etc.). Choosing one means sifting through portfolios to find a visual match for your dream day. But it’s not just about style. You need someone you connect with on a personal level, who puts you at ease and understands your vibe.

Budget also plays a role – amazing photographers often come with a premium price tag. Ultimately, it’s about trusting someone to capture the fleeting moments, emotions, and beauty of your once-in-a-lifetime celebration.

I am now giving the next 10 couples whose dates I have available the opportunity to have their pre-wedding shoot BEFORE they book! No risk, and absolutely nothing to lose. In fact, worst case scenario, you’ll get a free photoshoot and prints out of it!

While every wedding is different, there are certain elements which are usually broadly similar. Take a look at a typical wedding day to get a feel for the primarily documentary wedding photography style I’m likely to employ for your big day.

There’s much more work involved in photographing a wedding than just rocking up and taking the pictures. I’ve put together this guide to explain why wedding photography can seem expensive but it’s really not.

And if you are still on the hunt for your perfect snapper, here’s a list of questions you should ask a wedding photographer before making your mind up.
