Equine Photography – Horses as Pets

Horses, as well as other animals, become a part of the family, so it’s completely natural to want some lovely photographs of you with them.

This can either be achieved in the field or in an indoor setting with a backdrop for more of a fine art feel.

My Horse & I

I offer an equine photography service to individuals and/or groups to provide pictures of you with your horses and ponies. As the examples below show, this can be across a wide-range of scenarios, and I am happy to mix and match to suit your needs (eg some portraits and some action shots).

Sessions start at £250 for two hours of my time. In return you get :

• my travel up to 30 miles from NN14 4HY (additional mileage charged at 50p per mile);
• a password-protected web gallery, where you can view the pictures from your session (edited in both colour and black and white) and show your friends/family;
• 10x up to 18″x12″ prints of your choice, plus the high-resolution digital files of the images you select for printing in both colour and black & white, with print rights;
• Additional prints at up to 18″x12″ (+ the accompanying high-resolution digital files in both colour and black & white and print rights) can be purchased for £15.00 each.

Sessions can be extended at £125 per hour, which includes an extra 5x up to 18″x12″ prints and the respective high-resolution digital files and print rights (eg a 3hr session would cost £375, and you would get 15x up to 18″x12″ prints, plus the corresponding digital files in return).

Spend an extra £250 on additional images and I’ll throw in all of the edited high-resolution digital files from the session and print rights.  

Qualifiers will also receive a £50 credit towards a future booking with me and a 25% discount on my new range of stunning heirloom print products.

The full session fee is due before the booking takes place, 50% when confirming the booking.  The remaining 50% is due when the session date is confirmed. I’m very happy to help you spread the cost with a group booking. Obviously, this does mean there will be less images of each of you, however. Wherever possible, I will try to be flexible with the weather, too!

Optional Extras – Wooden Presentation Box & USB Stick Combo

Large print box, ebony USB stick & prints – £300

The large wooden print box accepts 12″x8″ prints and has a slot for the branded wooden USB stick, which you also receive.  The add-on price of £300 includes an additional 20 prints and would take you beyond the total spend figure of £500, meaning your USB stick would also contain all of the high-resolution digital files from the session.

Small print box, ebony USB stick & prints – £300

The small natural wooden print box accepts 6″x4″ prints and has a slot for the glass bottle USB stick, which you also receive.  The add-on price of £300 includes an additional 50 prints and would take you past the total spend figure of £500, meaning your USB stick would also contain all of the high-resolution digital files from the session.

If you ride competitively or just for fun, you might like some action photographs of you and your mount.  I’ve photographed everything from fun sessions over the poles at home to full-on professional horse races, both on the flat and under national hunt rules.

Equestrian Event Photography Pricing

If you are hosting an equestrian event and are not in need of prints, my usual event photography pricing applies:

Equestrian event photography pricing starts at £275 for a two-hour session (excluding any equipment setup and breakdown times – where necessary).  Each additional hour is charged at £110, eg a booking for four hours would cost £495 (£275 + 2x £110). Mileage is included up to 30 miles from NN14 4HY.  Additional mileage charged at 50p per mile.  Please contact me to discuss.

In return you will receive a digital download link containing edited high-resolution digital files in both colour and black & white of images captured during your event.  The images can be provided on a generic USB stick for an additional £20 including P&P.  If you so desire, an album of watermarked copies can be added to Facebook so that your guests can tag themselves in the pictures.
