After a three-month hiatus, I’m genuinely excited to be photographing my first wedding of 2017 tomorrow. It’s in the most beautiful little village of the outskirts of Milton Keynes. Both church and reception venue are gorgeous, and I can’t wait!
2018 Wedding Photography
As those of you who follow me on Facebook will know, I’ve been attending a number of Silverlinings wedding fairs across Northamptonshire this winter. They’ve generated lots of leads, and it’s been a pleasure to get to know some of the people I’ve met a tad better at subsequent consultations. As such, the 2018 diary is starting to fill up. If you are getting married next year and have a confirmed date, I would urge you to book your wedding photographer ASAP – regardless of whether that’s myself or not! I’m also taking enquiries for 2019 and have even spoken to one couple with a 2020 date!
The fairs are a great opportunity, not only for future brides and grooms to meet a fantastic array of professional wedding suppliers, but also for us suppliers to do the same. Many of the people involved with making your day perfect have already fulfilled their responsibilities ahead of the day itself, so it’s been nice to talk to some of the lovely wedding dress suppliers and purveyors of wedding rings etc, who we don’t normally get to meet.
Gowns & Garters, Thrapston
As such, I’m looking forward to working a little closer with Julie Mattingley at Gowns & Garters in Thrapston over the coming year. I’m delighted that she’ll be carrying a portfolio of my work in her shop on Huntingdon Road. Her Bridal Collection includes stunning dresses from Essence of Australia, Stella York, Mori Lee, Sophia Tolli and Rebecca Ingram.
Remaining 2017 Wedding Fairs
I still have two wedding fairs left to attend this season:
Kelmarsh Hall Wedding Fair – 19th March
Sywell Grange Wedding Fair – 7th May
And this week I’ve committed to five more in the second half of the year:
Knuston Lodge Farm Wedding Fair – 3rd September
Delapre Abbey Wedding Fair – 17th September (*subject to change)
Lyveden New Bield Wedding Fair – 1st October
The Hilton Northampton Wedding Fair – 29th October
Northampton Guildhall Wedding Fair – 19th November
Registration to attend is FREE on the Silverlinings website and you have the option to be entered into a prize draw. Please note that there may be a charge to attend some fairs, or be liable for parking charges, if you have not pre-registered.
Typically the doors are open to the public from 1100 until 1500.
If you’re not able to get to any of the fairs at which I’ll be exhibiting, it would be my pleasure to visit you in your home to discuss your wedding photography needs. Please drop me a line or give me a call to arrange a mutually convenient time.
Happy wedding planning!
Karl
